COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid

A lightweight, leave-on chemical exfoliator designed to clear congestion inside the pores. Unlike harsh physical scrubs or traditional drying salicylic acid treatments, COSRX utilizes 4% Betaine Salicylate—a gentler, sugar beet–derived beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that provides the exfoliating benefits of ~2% salicylic acid with built-in hydration. Formulated with a base of 67.8% Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water instead of plain water, it effectively dissolves dead skin cells, melts hardened sebum, and prevents blackhead formation while calming skin inflammation.

Many BHA toners rely on high concentrations of pure salicylic acid paired with harsh alcohols, which can compromise the skin barrier and trigger rebound oil production.

COSRX solves this by pairing Betaine Salicylate with Willow Bark Water and Niacinamide. This creates an osmoprotective, barrier-friendly exfoliating system that works at a skin-friendly pH (~4.0–5.0). You get clinical-grade pore clarification and blackhead reduction while keeping the skin plump, calm, and hydrated.
